AutomotiveGo is dedicated to helping our local community by providing vehicle repair assistance to families facing financial hardship. Our mission is to be the hands and feet of the church, showing our neighbors the love of Christ in practical, tangible ways.
We have built a network of trusted repair shops throughout Delaware County, OH to serve program participants quickly and reliably. Through strategic partnerships and a strong repair network, we aim to meet the transportation needs of the entire county while maintaining a fast turnaround. We know the need is great, and we are committed to keeping families moving.
Reliable transportation isn’t just about convenience, it’s about equal access to opportunity. While some may view vehicle ownership as a privilege, the reality is that in today’s world, a vehicle is a necessity. Our public transit system is not equipped to meet the daily needs of most families.
AutomotiveGo exists to remove transportation barriers for families who can’t afford necessary repairs on their own. We’re not offering a handout, we’re offering a hand-up.
This organization was formed because of a calling from God. Our Founder and Director, Eugene Frost, has felt the Lord’s prompting for several years to start this ministry. The identity of AutomotiveGo is rooted in Christ. The Father has given us a mission, and we intend to fulfill it!
Much like Naomi’s words to Ruth, “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay” (Ruth 1:16), we are committed to walking alongside our community through every challenge. Just as Ruth pledged steadfast loyalty, we pledge to remain present, meeting needs and removing transportation barriers to keep families moving.
Who We Help
We understand the challenges that can come with owning and maintaining a vehicle. Our mission is to support our community by offering repair assistance to families living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
Delaware County is one of Ohio’s most prosperous areas. Yet many families still struggle to afford essential needs like auto repairs. According to the U.S. Census, over 1,700 families in our county live below the FPL. Based on national and state trends, an estimated 3500-4000 families live at or below 200% of the FPL; a common threshold used to define working-class and low-income households. These are the families most likely to fall through the cracks, too often earning “just enough” to be ineligible for traditional aid, but not enough to cover unexpected repair bills that can threaten their jobs, health, and stability.
